Statement on the Death of Comrade Daniel Bensaïd
KKK Statement on the Death of Comrade Daniel Bensaïd (25 March 1946–12 January 2010)
The entire membership of the Katipunan ng mga Kabataang Kadre (KKK) or the Society of Young Cadres is saddened by the passing away of a veteran revolutionary Comrade Daniel Bensaïd. We join the international revolutionary movement in the mourning of the loss of an international revolutionary leader, theorist and strategist.
We from the KKK live very far and in different situation and context with Comrade Daniel Bensaïd. Only very few of us are fortunate enough to read few of his works and listen to some of his lectures. But like any other revolutionary in the world, we are also touched and inspired by the revolutionary life that Comrade Daniel Bensaïd took. Since he was young, he has been a constant practitioner of the revolution, defying and surviving Stalinism and one of the comrades who fought and work for the new International Workers\’ Movement. Indeed, he was one of the exemplar internationalist revolutionaries of his time.
The death of Comrade Daniel Bensaïd may have saddened us. But as young socialist revolutionaries, we will make his death an inspiration for us to do more in order to carry on the struggle for genuine social transformation to which he dedicated his life. We will continue to study and reflect upon his life and works and draw positive lessons out from it.
As Comrade Daniel Bensaïd bravely faced death like a true revolutionary, we from the KKK will bravely face the challenges ahead as we continue the struggle. His death adds fuel to the burning revolutionary flame within our young hearts!
Thank you Comrade Daniel. We will carry on!
